Italy claimed an impressive victory against China with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 26-24) sweep in the Volleyball Nations League 2023. The match, which took place on 22.06.2023 at Rotterdam, Netherlands , was characterized by intense rallies, and the Italian team showcased a stunning performance.
Italy dominated with 36 successful attacks compared to China’s 35, and further capitalized on a staggering 12 blocks against China’s 3. The Italians also made 25 successful digs, only marginally behind China’s 30. Service was another area where Italy excelled, recording 4 serve aces while China managed just 1.
Italy’s outside hitter, Romanò Yuri (No. 16), stood out with a total of 12 points comprising 8 attack points and 4 block points. His efficiency in the match was a remarkable 38.46%. Lavia Daniele (No. 15), an outside hitter, also contributed significantly with 11 points, including 9 attacks and 2 blocks.
