The curtain has been drawn on the Volleyball Nations League 2023, and VolleyStation played an instrumental role in the event! The Volleyball Nations League (VNL) stands among the largest and most respected volleyball competitions globally, overseen by Volleyball World. Attracting millions of enthusiasts both in the arenas and through international broadcasting, the VNL features the top 16 women’s and men’s teams from the FIVB rankings. They battled in pool competitions, with the leading 8 progressing to the finals in Arlington, USA, and Gdansk, Poland.
Women’s Tournament
In the women’s competition, 104 matches were played across 16 teams over 26 match days, with 402 sets played and a total of 17,503 points scored.
The best scorers were Magdalena Stysiak of the Polish team with 298 points. Best attacker was Yingying Li with 262 attacks from China. Best blocker was Agnieszka Korneluk from the Polish team with 48 blocks. Best server was Maria Yordanova from the Bulgarian team with 19 servers. Best setter was Linyu Diao from the Chinese team with 322 sets. Best digger was Mila Pashkuleva with 176 digs, and the best receiver was Yunlu Wang from China with 89 receives.
Men’s Tournament
In the men’s competition, 104 matches were conducted across 16 teams over 26 match days, with 396 sets played and a total of 17,833 points scored.
The best scorers were Yuki Ishikawa from the Japanese team with 275 points. Best attacker was Yuki Ishikawa with 237 attacks. Best blocker was Augustin Loser by the Argentinian team with 53 blocks. Best server was Nimir Abdel-Aziz with 25 serves. Best setter was Micah Christenson from Team USA with 325 sets. Best digger was Tomohiro Yamamoto from Team Japan with 131 digs, and the best receiver was Jani Kovacic from Team Slovenia with 87 receives.
Venues and Locations
The games were held across 14 distinct locations spread over four continents, including places like Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Brazil, the United States, and Poland.
