Netherlands Stops Poland’s Win Streak by Beating them 3:0 in the Volleyball Nations League 2023

The Netherlands delivered a commanding performance against Poland in the Volleyball Nations League 2023, recording a stunning 3:0 victory (22:25, 21:25, 26:28). The Dutch team’s vigorous efforts culminated in an emphatic victory, fueled by superior attack efficiency and timely blocks.

Despite Poland’s solid 50 attacks, 3 blocks, 2 serve aces, and impressive 76 digs, they fell short against the Netherlands’ relentless pressure. The Dutch team was able to notch up 54 attacks, 5 blocks, and 68 digs, in addition to a serve ace, which consistently disrupted Poland’s strategies throughout the game.

The Netherlands’ victory was marked by the standout performance from outside hitter Knollema Jolien. Jolien, donning the No.5 jersey, displayed an exceptional all-round performance, securing a total of 17 points, of which 14 were attacks, 2 blocks, and 1 ace.

Daalderop Nika, another outside hitter, also exhibited her volleyball prowess with 13 points purely from attacks. Middle blocker Baijens contributed 10 with 8 attacks and 2 from blocks, rounding out the Netherlands’ multi-pronged offensive.

Poland, though unable to snatch a set victory, was not without impressive individual performances. The team’s highest scorer was outside hitter Stysiak , securing a total of 18 points, 15 of which were attack points, 2 from blocks, and 1 from a serve. Rozanski followed closely, contributing 14 from attacks. Poland’s captain, Korneluk Agnieszka, also played her part with 5 points, all coming from attacks.
