In Antalya Poland secured a victory over Italy with a final score of 3:1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:14, 25:18 ).
The winning team logged 52 successful attacks, 13 blocks, and 6 aces, displaying a balanced game. A commendable performance by Magdalena Stysiak added almost a full set worth of points.
The world number 1 team, Italy, on the other hand, didn’t manage to show up today showing a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes which lead to convincing wins for Poland in the third and fourth set.
With this win, Poland gets their first win in the Volleyball Nations League this year. They look forward to their next game against Thailand tomorrow.
