Team Poland’s impressive stats included 57 attacks, 8 blocks, 5 serve aces, and 43 digs. The Netherlands also put up a strong fight with 55 attacks, 7 blocks, 7 serve aces, and 35 digs. However, Poland’s slightly superior attacking and blocking game was pivotal in securing the win.
Poland’s Jakub Kochanowski was a standout player, scoring 17 points which included 10 attack points, 2 block points, and 5 impressive serves. The first set was closely contested, with the Netherlands taking it 25-22. Poland bounced back in the second set, showcasing their offensive power to win 25-18. The Dutch team fought back to claim the third set 25-18. However, Poland, led by the inspirational performances of Jakub Kochanowski and Wilfredo Leon Venero, took the fourth set 25-22 and the decisive fifth set 15-11.
